Motorhomes based on Ford Transit (Type MK7 FWD) from model year 2014 onwards quickly reach the 3.5-ton limit despite lightweight construction materials. With the Linnepe AirLift Maxi auxiliary air suspension and the included payload upgrade certification, vehicles can be safely upgraded to up to 4,000 kg – for more payload, comfort, and driving stability.

Checklist

The prerequisite for upgrading the Fiat Ducato (Citroën Jumper / Peugeot Boxer) is always the installation of a Linnepe AirLift Maxi auxiliary air suspension system.

Check axle loads

Items 1 and 2 on the identification plate on the driver-side B-pillar.

Comparison with payload upgrade table

The upgrade table shows which options are available for increasing rear axle load and total vehicle weight.

Changes for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes GVW

If the vehicle is upgraded beyond 3.5 tonnes, traffic regulations and inspection intervals (HU) will change.
